So I was reading this article on skeuomorphs and saw a fact I’d heard before.. Ornamental pylons framing modern bridges, such as the twin 89 metre pylons at each end of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. They do not support anything, and are there only to frame the structure itself and make it look more like a traditional bridge. I’d always been fascinated by how this would look, so I made the quick and bodgy Photoshop you see above! Weird, huh.
